- The Gold & Silver Polishing Cloth can be used on both gold & silver jewelry
- The Delicate Jewelry Cleaner can also be used to clean pearls, emeralds, opals, and plated metals as a jewelry cleaning dip. We don’t recommend cleaning soft or delicate gemstones in the ultrasonic cleaner. Follow the directions in the ultrasonic cleaning instruction booklet or learn more about the Clean + Care Professional Ultrasonic Cleaner.
Use just a tablespoon of cleaner to add a boost to your ultrasonic cleaner. Blot dry after cleaning with the Ultrasonic Cleaner. Use the inner polishing cloth to remove tarnish and discoloration, and finish with a few rubs of the outer cloth to provide a finishing luster. Fine jewelry should be inspected annually by a professional jeweler.
If you add the recommended 1tbsp of cleaning to water in your Gem Glow Ultrasonic Cleaner, there are approximately 15 uses per jar.
We recommend using only the Delicate Jewelry Cleaner in the ultrasonic.
Although cleaning in the ultrasonic will not remove tarnish, the inner layers of the Gold & Silver Polishing Cloth are infused with a tarnish-removing formula.
Pearls, soft and delicate stones, pave settings, filled or treated stones, and glue set jewelry should still not be used in the ultrasonic cleaner. This applies if you’re using only water or water with the addition of Delicate Jewelry Cleaner.
