The Fine Jewelry Cleaner is designed to clean all types of diamonds including colorless diamonds (white), colored diamonds (pink, yellow, brown, black, etc), synthetic or lab grown diamonds, and faux or simulated diamonds (cubic zirconia, crystal, topaz, quartz, white zircon).
The Fine Jewelry Cleaner contains aqueous ammonia, which can cause sterling silver to become discolored. The Delicate Jewelry Cleaner is safe for sterling silver, but it will not remove tarnish. The Silver Jewelry Cleaner and Gold & Silver Polishing Cloth are both tarnish removing products safe for sterling silver
Pearls and opals are delicate stones. The Fine Jewelry Cleaner should not be used on soft or porous gemstones like these. Any jewelry that contains pearls, opals or other delicate stones should be cleaned with the Delicate Jewelry Cleaner, Jewelry Cleaning Stick, and Jewelry Cleaning Wipes.
If your jewelry includes any type of soft or porous gemstone, delicate gemstones, or plated metals they should be cleaned with a more gentle formula like the Delicate Jewelry Cleaner, Jewelry Cleaning Stick, and Wipes. If your jewelry includes a mix of harder gemstones like diamonds, cubic zirconia, sapphires, or rubies then it’s ideal for the Fine Jewelry Cleaner.
